Woohoo...what a session! I feel as though I've moved up another step on the kite-surfing ladder and gained my badge for sailing in stronger winds and rougher conditions.

It was the first time I'd been out in winds that strong, and the sea was pretty rough too. Theres was no one about on the beach, so i was a little apprehensive to start with, and set my kite up a little differently again, this time shortening the front lines another inch or so to depower the kite a little and it all seemed to work OK.

Once on the water I was fine, well-powered up and absolutely flying upwind. I was able to point much higher into the wind than ever before, and even higher than I can whilst windurfing. Its amazing how far into the wind you can go. Once I got to grips with the water conditions and the wind strngth I started going for some jumps, some of which were pretty big and I juist seemed to hover there in the air. None were particularly stylish, but it was fun anyway.

After a while I realsied I was quite a way out to sea and way upwind, so I went for a mad downwind run, which although pretty fast was sadly lacking in control!!!
